The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented crisis with unique challenges and opportunities. Some of these challenges include rapidly rising unemployment and concerns about families’ ability to meet immediate, basic needs. In response, the Community Foundation of Utah has teamed up with Mercato Partners and the Savory Relief Foundation to launch the Utah Community Savory Relief Pack Fund.
Donations through the Savory Relief Pack Fund provide meals to community healthcare workers, grocery store employees, first responders, unemployed or furloughed individuals, and others most impacted by COVID-19. This program not only meets immediate needs of individuals and families in our community, but supports local restaurants to keep their staff employed. This private-philanthropic partnership also exemplifies the value of increased collaboration between the sectors to serve our communities, now, and beyond the COVID-19 crisis.
Currently, the Savory Relief Pack Fund has served more than 7,200 people. You can help us reach more individuals and families by contributing to the Savory Relief Pack Fund! $25 provides one pack, which will feed 6 - 8 people.
