California Wildfire Recovery Funds
Initial resources have been set up to support our neighbors in California during this incredibly difficult time. Community foundations across California are activating rapid response funds to help those impacted by the devastating wildfires that have displaced so many in and around Los Angeles. Donors who are interested in supporting community-based efforts are encouraged to contribute to the following community foundation-led funds:
California Community Foundation's fund will provide long-term recovery relief to the most underserved communities in the region that need it most, including the Native American, Muslim, migrant and non-native English-speaking communities – as well as children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. These community foundations will help bridge financial gaps by collaborating with local foundations and nonprofit organizations that are already providing emergency aid to wildfire survivors and first responders. Other resources, including links to the local Habitat for Humanity, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen and more can be found here.
