Ramez Halteh
Board Member
As the Sales Leader for Utah, Ram is responsible for leading the client experience, performance, and service efforts of Key Private Bank’s regional team. Ram has been with Key Bank for over 10 years working within Business and Commercial Banking divisions. He measures his success by the success of those that work with him. Ram believes he has a greater purpose to his work life, that is to improve the professional work lives of those who work for him. Ram started in banking 23 years ago for Bank of America’s consumer bank. Prior to entering the banking field Ram worked for a USAID contractor running the Arabic programs, training government officials from other countries, including running the Judicial Management seminars for Egyptian judges and prosecutors.
He is active in the community, having served on a number of boards, including: The Trade Commission of Denmark in Atlanta, The Inclusion Center, Neighborworks Murray, and the Catholic Diocesan Finance Committee. Currently, Ram serves on the board of Utah Micro Loan Fund and as the Finance Chair for Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy.
Ram has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah and is currently working on his MBA at Utah State University.
Jennifer Robinson
Board Member
Dr. Jennifer Robinson is the chief of staff at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute and oversees the institute’s communications, human resources, and finances. She serves on the board for the Community Foundation of Utah, the University of Utah Veteran’s Day Committee, and the Visit Salt Lake Board of Directors. Utah Business Magazine recognized her as one of 30 Women to Watch in 2017. In 2021, she received the Ethics in Education Award from the Daniel’s Fund and the Empathetic Global Leadership Award from the David Eccles School of Business. Dr. Robinson earned her Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
Trish Coughlin
Board Chair
Trish Coughlin is a VP, Accounting at Amazon and is responsible for Devices (Kindle, Alexa, Echo, etc) and Project Kuiper, an initiative to build a low Earth orbit satellite constellation to provide reliable and affordable broadband service to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Prior to Amazon, she was the Chief Accounting Officer for Cornerstone and Workday, both publicly listed SaaS companies, a managing director at Goldman Sachs where she held finance and operational leadership roles, a divisional controller of a $4 billion revenue business at Honeywell and Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she provided services to multinational clients in the audit and transaction advisory practices.
Trish has been an active supporter in her community and is returning to the Community Foundation of Utah board, where she previously served as a director and member of the Executive Committee. She has also served on the Executive Committee of the board of directors at The McGillis School and the board of directors at the YWCA and was a founding member and co-chair of the Utah Women's Giving Circle.
Chris Conard
Board Member
Chris is committed to meaningful outcomes for students through education. He is the Director of the Full-Time MBA program of the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He is driven by the vision of contributing to an inclusive and ethical future of business leadership. Prior to joining the David Eccles School of Business, Chris founded Playworks Utah, a social impact organization leveraging the power of play to drive student growth and academic outcomes. His ability to think strategically, empower his team, and deliver strong outcomes resulted in a period of high growth (20X market growth and 6X total revenue growth). He was recognized for his achievements with EY’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2019. Chris volunteers in his community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Utah, where he is currently the Chair of the Philanthropy Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Voices for Utah Children, where he is currently the Past-Chair. Chris received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy & Religion From Truman State University, a Master’s degree in Asian and Comparative Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is an alumni of the University of Utah’s Executive MBA program. Chris is a lover of live music, the outdoors, running, snowboarding & skiing, and can be found exploring the Wasatch Front with his wife and two children.
Josh Kanter
Board Member
In 2001, with the death of his father imminent, Josh left his law practice to assume the responsibility of reorganizing his family’s business, tax, and estate structures, building the systems and tools necessary to function as a single-family office, while maintaining family dialog and harmony among three generations with a wide diversity of education, financial and legal literacy, geography, age and needs. Over the past 20 years, Josh has led his family’s family office and consults with other families through Josh Kanter Wealth Advisory Services. Josh is the Founder of leafplanner, Inc., a digital platform that creates a family “owner’s manual,” through the collection, organization and mapping of a family’s and family enterprise’s information in a single-source manner, allowing a family to identify blind spots, educate family members and advisors, and prepare a family for an effective, comprehensive, and efficient succession-of-information. Josh received his J.D. from the University of Chicago. He has served on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards, is a member of the Collaboration for Family Flourishing, the Purposeful Planning Institute, various family office groups and has been a frequent author and panelist on family and family office topics.
Doug Hansen
Board Member
Douglas J. Hansen (Doug) is a certified public accountant and a partner in the assurance services practice area of Tanner LLC, a Salt Lake City, Utah based CPA firm. Doug graduated with honors from Utah State University before joining Tanner LLC in 1989. He has served clients in a wide variety of industries throughout his career, but has always loved the opportunity to serve many types and sizes of not-for-profit organizations. In fact, he spends the majority of his client service time working with some of Utah’s finest nonprofit organizations. He is a member of the Utah Association of CPA’s Nonprofit Committee, has taught numerous training sessions pertaining to the unique accounting and operational aspects of nonprofit organizations, and served for approximately five years on the national Nonprofit Committee of Allinial Global, one of the largest associations of CPA firms in the world. When he is not working, Doug loves to snow ski, hike, take road trips, and spend time with his family.
Jensen Warnock
Board Member
Jensen is passionate about entrepreneurship and technology. Currently, Jensen is the Managing Director for the Alpha, a Mercato Partners direct secondary fund. He has co-founded and managed multiple investment practices in his career investing in seed, venture, and growth stage private company through a variety of investment structures and vehicle.
Jensen graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Computer Science and received his M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jeramy Lund
Board Member
Jeramy Lund is the Sr. Director of CRA Equity Investments at Ally Bank. He is also Principal Partner for XIII, LLC; a diversified family holding and a partner at Valter's Osteria. Currently, Mr. Lund is a member of the Kickstart Seed Fund (I&II) Investment Committees and an Emeritus member of the Park City Angel Network. Prior to his current employment, Mr. Lund was formerly the Managing Director of Impact Investing at the Sorenson Impact Center at the University of Utah and the Managing Director for University Venture Funds I&II and worked for JP Morgan (New York), DLJ International (London) and American Stores Company (Salt Lake City, UT) and served as Chairman of the Board of Command 7, Inc., and Three-D Spirits, Inc.
Jeramy is actively involved in the non-profit arena. He is a founding member, former Chair and on the Board of the Community Foundation of Utah and Pandolabs; Treasurer of the Lund Foundation and on the Board of Envision Utah and the Advisory Committee for Utah Clean Energy. He previously served as Board Chairman for Recycle Utah, and for the Nature Conservancy, Gen C, University Of Utah Alumni Association and Wild Utah Project Boards.
Jeramy graduated from the University of Utah, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS in Accounting and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Brad Dickson
Board Member
Brad Dickson joined the Board of the Community Foundation of Utah in January 2017 and was Board Chairman from February 2018 until January 2023. He is an active angel and social impact investor with a mission to help de-risk technology-based start-ups and social entrepreneurship in the State of Utah. Brad was founding board chair of PandoLabs, Inc., a founding member of the Purpose Investment Network, a member of the board of Summit Community Power Works and a member of the executive committee of Park City Angels. Brad previously was a global C-Level executive with Dresser-Rand Company, now a Siemens Energy business, where he served as executive officer on their worldwide new equipment business and chief marketing officer.
Marty Tate
Board Member
Marty is a nationally recognized securities, finance, and fintech attorney. He has over 20 year experience counseling and assisting clients throughout the U.S. and internationally on various forms of structured finance, private and public securities offerings, crowdfunding, digital assets, coin offerings and token sales, SEC reporting, real estate financings, fund formation and compliance, business formation, and corporate governance. Since 2009, Marty has been active in advising clients in crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending space, with a particular focus on the JOBS Act and exempt offerings under Regulation D, Regulation CF and Regulation A. He also advises a number of public companies and assists in reporting requirements and compliance. Marty has structured the formation of over 100 domestic and offshore funds in various structures and has advised investment managers and advisors on state and SEC compliance issues associated with the management of such funds.
