Resilient 2020 | From Susan B. Anthony to RGB: The history, resilience and call to community

The Utah Women's Giving Circle, a grassroots group formed in 2011 to change the statistics for women in Utah, in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Utah and Better Days 2020, will host Resilience 2020, a series of three timely virtual dialogues toward reigniting Utah’s spirit of community, generosity and resilience in the face of challenge.

Session 1: The History of Women Reinventing the World

Thursday, October 15th from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Speakers: Katherine Kitterman and Tiffany Greene of Better Days 2020

Ms. Kitterman and Ms. Greene will paint the historical backdrop of how women have led forward in times of difficulty, coming together to create the cultural movements that shaped our state, nation and world for the better; this year in particular being marked by the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the 150th anniversary of Utah women being the first to vote in the nation.

As our community nonprofits struggle to meet increased demand, Utah families continue to face an uncertain future. This series of talks is open to all and aims to shift the conversation from reactivity to tangible strategies to respond – as an individual, a family, and as a community.
