Our research indicated that fewer than 10% of Utah nonprofits have an endowment, and by the middle of the recession most had used up their existing reserves.
Alarmed by this news, the Board of Directors took an extraordinary step: the Foundation will establish organizational endowments on behalf of Utah's nonprofits with no administrative fees. We are grateful for the support of GE Financial Capital and the Utah Financial Services Foundation, representing Utah's CRA banks, for their support. We are committed to expanding philanthropic resources and ensuring the long term financial health of Utah's nonprofit sector.
- Endowments are an important component of an integrated development strategy.
- Endowments make funding more stable and predictable.
- Endowments offer an unparalleled way to support your mission forever.

Autistic Voices
We support autistic children and other special needs individuals by speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Our goal is to speak loudly enough to improve their quality of life. And, since actions speak louder than words—we focus on creating events and opportunities that assist us in raising funds for medical needs, educational scholarships, and special housing. We welcome anyone who has an interest in helping children and others with disabilities to join us.
SALT LAKE CITY — Fourth Street Clinic, a nonprofit organization that provides health care to Utah's homeless, is launching an endowment campaign in an effort to improve the reach of its services.
"Homelessness affects our entire community’s quality of life,” said Allan Ainsworth, executive director of the clinic. "We hope this $5,000 seed money is the beginning of securing Fourth Street Clinic's long-term financial position and ensuring that future Utahns who fall into homelessness will always have access to health care."
The clinic currently turns away 15-20 patients each day, many of whom end up going to emergency rooms, according to a news release.
Fourth Street Clinic opened its endowment through Community Foundation of Utah, a public charity that will invest the endowment's principal.
