What is Live UT Give UT ?
A 24-hour online fundraising event to generate giving from people all across the state to the nonprofit organizations that make Utah great.
Our vision is that every citizen contributes to the nonprofit organization of their choice. We have four simple goals:
Grow philanthropy - Live UT Give UT will create fund and engaging ways for all Utahns to learn about critical issues impacting our state and inspiring them to give
Grow revenue - Live UT Give UT will bring new donors to the nonprofit organizations that make our state and its future strong
Grow supporters - Live UT Give UT will help donors find, connect, and engage with the causes they care about
Grow community - Live UT Give UT is a day for Utahns to come together to raise as much money for nonprofit organizations as possible
Other states’ successes have been staggering! In a single day Southwestern Florida has raised $2.4 million, Colorado $12.4 million, and Minnesota $13.3 million. The Seattle Foundation raised on May 2 of this year $7.4 million from 37,800 donors. Our colleagues at the Park City Foundation have pioneered this work in Utah – last November they helped their nonprofits raise $332,034 and this year they hope to raise $500,000 on November 16, 2012.
Participation is easy, fun and free. We’ll provide the online giving site and the tools you’ll need. You provide the energy, and we’ll both work to get the word out to our networks.
